Team Jamis – Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home enters the upcoming USA Pro Cycling Challenge as one of the top domestic teams in North America. They're bringing a strong team to challenge for all seven individual stages, as well as taking aim at the General Classification when the seven-day race concludes in downtown Denver, Colorado.

While a majority of Team Jamis – Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home’s riders are coming to the USA Pro Cycling Challenge off the back of a successful week of racing at the Tour of Utah, Daniel Jaramillo enters the race having spent the past month training at home in his native Colombia.  Jaramillo has used the extra time at home to train specifically for the upcoming USA Pro Challenge, with it’s long climbs and high altitude stages.

Gregory Brenes and Carson Miller both shone on the hilly roads of the Tour of Utah last week and will look after Jaramillo in the high mountains, as well as being capable to challenge for the King of The Mountains Classification and individual stages.  Ben Jacques-Maynes, winner of the 2014 USA Pro Cycling Challenge King of The Mountains Classification will return to defend his title in one of his final races before retiring at the end of the season.  Jacques-Maynes suffered a heavy crash in May at the Tour of California and has since worked hard to arrive on the start line in Steamboat Springs with an eye towards making another addition to his wardrobe.

Winning a bronze medal at the 2015 US Pro Time Trial Championships, David Williams will be a valuable rider to Jamis – Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home in the flatter and rolling parts of each stage, as well as a rider to watch in the Stage 5 Time Trial in Breckenridge.  Williams was one of the first attackers last week at the Tour of Utah, and will look to make his mark early in the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

Gaston Trillini and Stephen Leece have proven themselves in both reduced sprints, and breakaways.  Trillini and Leece will both be looking to make an early impression at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, as well as challenging in the reduced field sprints that are almost certain to come with the high altitude, and big climbs in Colorado.

Rounding out the Team Jamis – Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home roster is Sebastian Haedo.  Haedo will be looking to guide his teammates in the early part of the race, leveraging his past experiences from racing on World Tour teams.  Stages 6 and 7 are both predicted to end in fairly large field sprints, and Team Jamis – Hagens Berman p/b Sutter Home will be looking to bring Haedo into the final kilometers of those stages in the perfect position to pick up a stage win.
